For those already signed up, please let us know if you need to cancel so that the next family in line can have your space.Join us for our third HSC Campout Sunday, June 8 – Friday June 13, 2008 at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. This has become an HSC camping favorite over the last few years and well worth the trip!
Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park has 1,006 acres of redwoods, conifers, oaks, sycamores, cottonwoods, maples, alders and willows – plus open meadows. Wildlife includes fox, raccoons, skunks, and birds, such as American dippers and belted kingfishers. We’ve even seen glimpses of the amazing California condors right from camp! Hikers can enjoy the many scenic trails, including a self-guided nature loop. Overlooks provide spectacular views of the Big Sur Valley and the Big Sur River Gorge. Campsites are on the valley floor through which the Big Sur River flows. Fishing is permitted in-season ONLY and only on the west side of Highway 1. Other things to see and do nearby include Pfeiffer Beach, Ventana Wildlife Society, Nepenthe, Henry Miller Bookstore, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park with the amazing waterfall into the ocean. There is also horseback riding near Andrew Molera State Park.
Our reserved sites in the Weyland circle are at the innermost end of the campground nearest the river and the trail to a great swimming hole. Restroom facilities and coin-operated showers (bring your quarters!) are available right in our loop and we have the entire inner loop of campsites reserved for a common kitchen / campfire area for our little village!
Fees for the campout are $25.00/person which will cover the sites, firewood & 2nd car fees for each site. To reserve your spot, please send:

· Be sure to include your liability release form including email address for updates.
· Total number of people in your party.
