The Crucible
The Crucible is a unique non-profit industrial arts school in West Oakland, offering an unparalleled creative environment where homeschool students can explore the intersection of art, science, and technology through year-round classes, weekend workshops, and immersive spring and summer camps. We provide youth ages 8–18 with hands-on experience in 15 different departments, ranging from traditional crafts like ceramics and woodworking to high-heat industrial skills like blacksmithing, welding, and glass blowing.
